Phlebotomist I - San Jose, CA - Monday-Friday 8:00AM-4:30PM (Rotational Weekends) Quest Diagnostics

is hiring. This role requires a state phlebotomy license (NHA licenses not accepted in CA, WA, NV). Pay Range:

$23.55 - $28.05/hour. Salary offers are based on factors including skills, training, experience, education, and related certifications; market and organizational factors are also considered. Eligible candidates may receive an annual performance bonus. Responsibilities

Collect specimens according to established procedures, including drug screens, biometric screening, and insurance exams. Administer oral solutions according to training. Research test/client information and verify all orders using lab systems, client contact, and approved tools. Navigate computer systems and accurately enter data. Identify patients, enter billing information, and collect payments when required, following corporate policies. Process specimens: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, and preparation for transport as required by test order. Perform non-patient-facing duties: inventory, stocking supplies, sanitizing, filing, answering phones, and using email as appropriate. Read, understand, and comply with departmental policies, protocols, and procedures. Assist with data compilation and submission when required. Maintain phlebotomy logs (e.g., maintenance logs, temperature logs) in a timely manner. Complete online and in-person training courses timely. Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent. Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred. Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington. One year phlebotomy experience preferred; customer service experience in retail or service environment preferred. Keyboard/data entry experience. Ability to communicate effectively in English.
