Job Responsibilities Strategic Insight, Ltd., is seeking a
Digital Transformation Knowledge Management Specialist
(Staff Associate) specializing in
Knowledge Management and Data Ecosystems
(Senior or Mid Level) to support our PEO IWS client in Washington, DC, NAVY YARD.
Mandatory Requirement:
Applicants selected for this position may be subject to a Government Security Investigation and must meet eligibility for access to classified information at the Secret clearance level.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Develop, maintain, and mature a KM strategy and Roadmap for incorporating KM user stories and tasks into the Digital Transformation program.
Lead the execution of the KM strategy based on the client’s vision, knowledge, solutions and tools to advance the workforce’s ability to adopt change.
Support ongoing delivery of a tailored training process covering governance, workforce interface development, and data-focused foundation for knowledge.
Monitor the quality and effectiveness of KM documentation in the enterprise and education outcomes; develop educational resources and/or facilitate training sessions.
Guide process improvement efforts by identifying knowledge gaps, proposing solutions, and leading development teams as required.
Advise on knowledge sharing through organizational business processes and IT systems, leveraging modern best practices and culture change goals.
Provide constant communication between internal teams and client; act as liaison to support knowledge base content creation and maintenance.
Work with multiple commercial and governmental agencies to facilitate/support technical and operational projects in support of digital transformation.
Leverage cross-functional relationships to collaborate on innovative technical solutions.
Provide support for establishing and nurturing communities of practice, including workshops, guidance, and troubleshooting.
Integrate with IT services and chief technology teams to translate core technology, cloud services, and governance requirements to KM architecture.
Lead the technical champion community in acquiring innovative new technology based on workforce needs.
Senior-Level Responsibilities
Communicate the KM strategy across the enterprise to technical teams, leadership, and data stewards.
Ensure KM strategy aligns and matures with the organization and evolves with digital transformation.
Act as KM lead across the organization, driving knowledge sharing automation and SME capabilities in relevant applications.
Guide process improvements, propose governance solutions, and lead automation of new processes.
Provide technical guidance to developers for refining tools and implementing new initiatives.
Support communities of practice, workshops, guidance, and troubleshooting.
Manage the KM backlog and agile deliverables each sprint.
Success Factors / Qualifications
Experience with knowledge management systems, processes and procedures.
Experience developing and delivering knowledge sharing programs within an organization's information infrastructure.
Experience with dynamic communication and data management platforms (e.g., SharePoint Online).
Familiarity with Dataverse, Power Automate, Power Apps, and Power BI; proficiency with M365 (SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, and legacy MS Office).
Familiarity with UI/UX principles and 508 compliance requirements.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Education and Experience
Mid-level: undergraduate degree with 7 years related experience; or master’s degree with 10 years at Senior level. Additional years of experience can substitute for education.
Experience in data and cloud usage management.
Experience in setting organizational data governance.
Familiarity with DoD, DoN, or other federal agency digital strategy, IT modernization, or transformation efforts is desired.
Agile, KM, Information Management certification is a plus.
Experience with complex industries leveraging traditional IT processes and on-prem technology is a plus.
