Overview

Product Manager - Developer Workflows at Tecton. Drive excellence and product fit for Tecton’s primary user personas, the ML Engineer and the Data Scientist. Conduct research with Tecton users and the broader market to understand and support these personas. Build and refine the product workflows for exploring, developing, testing, and productionizing features across Tecton’s framework, CLI, SDK, API surface and GUI. Champion the Data Scientist and ML Engineer personas at Tecton. Work with Product Marketing and DevRel to describe, promote, and evangelize Tecton as an ideal solution for feature engineering. Tecton solves complex data problems in production machine learning. Our feature platform activates data for smarter models and predictions, abstracting away the engineering to speed up innovation. Tecton was founded on the first Feature Store developed for Uber’s Michelangelo ML platform, and we’re expanding to organizations worldwide. We’re funded by Sequoia Capital, Andreessen Horowitz, and Kleiner Perkins, with strategic investments from Snowflake and Databricks. Our team is distributed globally with offices in San Francisco and New York City. Responsibilities

Drive product-market fit with ML Engineers and Data Scientists. Ensure Tecton is the best tool for developing and productionizing features for predictive machine learning. Collaborate with internal experts and other PMs to ensure accessibility and effectiveness for users. Represent the user perspective. Maintain direct customer and user contact through regular calls, implementation reviews, and support escalations. Develop customer intuition through first-hand data collection and direct observation. Regularly review customer call recordings and documentation to spot patterns and opportunities. Cite specific customer examples when writing requirements. Shape product strategy and direction. Bring strong business acumen and contribute to company-wide strategy. Understand market dynamics and guide prioritization and requirements development. Act as an SME for Data Scientist and ML Engineer workloads. Support Go-to-Market. Provide expertise on target personas and workloads for marketing communications. Participate in demos, webinars, and content creation. Partner with PMM and Sales on new business activities and OKRs. Qualifications

3-5 years in Product Management on highly technical products Experience writing PRDs and requirements for technical products; cross-functional collaboration with GTM and Engineering teams 2+ years in Product Management at early-stage startups (50-150 employees) Experience presenting to customers through webinars, briefings, and demos Strong skills in user research, discovery, and stakeholder outreach. Experience prospecting for research partners not yet customers Operator-level experience with SQL, Python, Notebook environments, and Git Familiarity with streaming and batch data engineering patterns and technologies The estimated US base salary range for this position is $162,000 - $222,000 annually for employees based within California & New York. In addition to base salary, we offer competitive equity and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, 401(K), flexible paid time off, 10 paid holidays per year, sick time, and leave per FMLA and related laws. Compensation is based on location, level, scope, and experience. Tecton is a remote-friendly company with a hybrid policy for employees in SF, NY, and Seattle.
