Position Responsibilities
Design network designs, services, and deployment procedures that solve for many requirements. Contribute with leadership team to decide on the projects that best support the team’s mission. Lead the team to design ahead of customer or technology needs, always predicting and solving for problems that have not yet occurred by creating and defending High Level Design (HLD) and Low Level Design (LLD) documents; working with internal stakeholders to influence technology roadmaps; constructing and testing solutions; and providing support to the teams that will deploy and operate these designs. Create and automate deployment processes that increase quality and velocity. Work closely with internal customers on designs/solutions and bringing those designs/solutions from concept to production. Position Requirements
Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science or a related field and seven years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation. Must have seven years of experience in the following skills: IP networking fundamentals, application of IP protocols, and network analysis fundamentals and robust troubleshooting skills working with major internet routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, MPLS, RSVP and ISIS in a large enterprise environment working with major network operating systems such as Cisco IOS or Junos working independently and in large project teams industry experience in large network environments e.g. Cloud provider, ISP, Corporate Enterprise Networks, or large (IP) carrier networks network analysis fundamentals and robust troubleshooting skills, specifically, network performance analysis Unix/Linux skills and the ability to script in Python, Perl, and Shell Up to 25% domestic and international travel required to perform role responsibilities.
