What You'll Do
As a
Protection & Control Technician , you'll play a key role in ensuring the reliability and performance of high-voltage substation systems through: Installation, commissioning, and testing of protective relays, RTUs, and telecom equipment Functional testing of protection schemes on lines, buses, breakers, transformers, and more Performing RTU and telecom upgrades for large utility and industrial clients Reviewing and interpreting schematics, single-lines, and communication diagrams Documenting test results for compliance and reporting standards Maintaining vehicle and equipment in clean, operational condition You're a Great Fit If You Have:
5+ years' experience with P&C systems in utility, co-op, or federal power settings Strong hands-on experience with SEL, GE, and ABB relays Familiarity with substation RTUs and communication processors (e.g., SEL, Telvent, Cooper, Novatech) A technical degree, engineering background, or military experience (Navy Nuke or Army Prime Power) Project experience in greenfield/brownfield substation builds or upgrades Awareness of NERC/CIP regulatory standards What THEY Offer
