Overview The Director, Top Client Development is responsible for strategizing, leading, and educating the customer first, always expectation in their store through direct leadership of the elevated selling function (Stylists, Shoppers and the Registry). Possessing an inherent passion for people; recruiting, onboarding and developing direct reports, the Director, Top Client Development is part business consultant, part relationship guru, and 100% leader. The Director will contribute and collaborate to drive the business forward, dreaming big to deliver bold and innovative strategies and solidify the legacy and reliability of Bloomingdale’s. As a key partner to the General Manager, AGM and Business Sales Managers, the Director is responsible to build together—optimizing customer experience, leading and driving selling strategy, top client development and VIC experiences through share of wallet growth with a focus on the Top clients. The Director is responsible for understanding the service landscape within the store, identifying and addressing friction points and opportunities to exceed our customers’ expectations across all brand touchpoints. The Director will lead education and high adoption of new technologies to drive relationship selling.
Responsibilities
Own and drive the development of the Top Client portfolio
Partner with corporate Top Client Development team to create bespoke client maps, connecting clients with exclusive products and experiences
Leverage Loyallist program including Unlocked and Luxe Tiers and the Bloomingdale's card to drive frequency of visits and grow Share of Wallet
Invest personally in relationships with top clients, seeking to build deeper connectivity with the Bloomingdale's brand
Lead Personal Shopping and Stylist in pursuit of best in market experience
Oversee the acquisition, retention, growth and recognition of elevated sellers, establishing roles as a compelling career path for internal and external talent
Partner cross-functionally to support the success of elevated sellers and the needs of their clients
Lead Luxury Selling & VIC Activations to extend the best of Bloomingdale's product and experience offering to top clients and elevated sellers
Serve as store lead, interfacing with Central CXS, Merchants and Vendors to plan and execute VIC Activations
Maximize opportunities to connect elevated sellers and top clients with network assortments
Serve as store subject matter expert for creating an elevated Customer Experience and culture of Client Development
Qualifications and Competencies
Prior direct experience in client categories and luxury development is required
Practices open and continuous communication, values keeping others informed, effectively presenting information in a clear, concise manner
Ability to effectively plan and execute strategies
Excellent leadership, facilitation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across functional lines and at many levels
Ability to think creatively, strategically, and technically
Ability to work a flexible schedule based on department and Company needs
Knowledge of MS Office computer programs are required
Physical Requirements
Position requires prolonged periods of standing/walking around store or department
May involve reaching, crouching, kneeling, stooping and color vision
Frequent use of computers and other technology, necessary to perform job functions, including handheld equipment, cash register and ability to process register transactions
Frequently lift/move up to 10 lbs
Base pay range $110,400.00/yr - $184,000.00/yr
