We are seeking a Storage Product Manager to be responsible for managing multiple projects (HW and SW) from before inception to postmortem. The person in this position needs to be assertive and work well with cross-functional engineering teams, meet schedule(s) and drive towards highest quality storage products.
Job Summary
Develop, manage and lead Supermicro storage/server products through the full life cycle. Define storage products PRD, road map and architecture to excel in the market. Work with inter-departmental teams such as engineering, sales and product managers to ensure the product line and roadmaps are aligning with the overall company objective and goals. Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Develop, manage and lead Supermicro storage/server products through the full life cycle Define storage products PRD, road map and architecture to excel in the market Work with inter-departmental teams such as engineering, sales and product managers to ensure the product line and roadmaps are aligning with the overall company objective and goals Ensure SMC Storage Design Engineering teams adopt and integrate key storage technologies into Supermicro products and roadmaps Develop project plans for Storage products Coordinate Storage Products Forecast, working with Procurement, Product Managers and Sales teams for monthly reviews Lead Storage Product Promotions supporting Sales and Product Managers Accountable for total product sold on month to month basis Qualifications
BS/MS EE or ME, with 5+ years relevant work experience with storage system, server and hard drives industry is preferable Solid understanding with storage architecture, with extensive in depth knowledge of SAS/SATA/PCIe, storage HW and SW, NVMe, RAID, expanders, NAS, SAN, ISCSI, hadoop, I2C and GPIO Prefer design experience Must have Schedule control and Product TTM experience Must be able to provide a professional presentation Ability to work in team environment as well as independently Strong attention to details with excellent communication skills in both written and verbal EEO Statement
