As a Simtek Mechanical Designer, you will be responsible for designing high-fidelity simulated training components used in military and commercial flight simulators. The product line includes simulated instrument gauges, control panels, and multifunction LCD displays. This role requires a strong proficiency in SolidWorks and mechanical design skills.

Responsibilities

Design high-fidelity simulated training components for flight simulators.

Create simulated instrument gauges, control panels, and multifunction LCD displays.

Utilize SolidWorks for designing complex multi-part mechanical assemblies.

Engage in reverse engineering for simulation devices.

Collaborate with team members to ensure accurate schematics and manufacturing standards.

Apply GD&T principles to ensure quality and precision in designs.

Essential Skills

One to three years of hands-on SolidWorks or similar 3D modeling experience.

Experience in designing complicated multi-part mechanical assemblies.

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience in mechanical engineering, drafting, or product engineering.

Strong written, verbal, mathematical, and interpersonal skills.

Effective organization and time management abilities.

Ability to use CAD systems and related equipment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

High degree of initiative to resolve issues with customers and production.

Work Environment

This position is based on-site in Euless, Texas, conveniently located near the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport. The facilities are equipped with state-of-the-art technology to support your design and engineering needs.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Euless, Texas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr.
