The Informatics Manager is responsible for managing all programs associated with access control.The Informatics Manager is responsible for troubleshooting all CCTV equipment and maintaining its integrity. Responsibilities

Managing the database of all access-controlled doors. Coordinate with Department Heads on who needs access to doors. Manage all off-site facilities, access control and CCTV systems. Develop plans for access control on existing doors and future doors. Manage and develop policies and procedures involving access control. Coordinate on who needs keys and being able to cut and copy keys for locks. Manage all software related to CCTV, Access Control, Keys, Security programs and any future software.

Requirements, Experience And Qualifications

High School Diploma. NYS Driver’s license. Experience in CCTV equipment, hardware, software and programs. Experience with automated access controls. Experience with lock hardware, cylinders and keying of door locks. Current BLS provider certification from the American Heart Association required within 3 months of hire. New York State Security Guard License required within 6 months of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

Active or prior law enforcement, security, and or fire safety experience.

Physical Demands

Prolonged periods of standing and walking.

This function/position maybe designated as “essential.” This means that when the Hospital is faced with an institutional emergency, employees in such positions may be required to remain at their work location or to report to work to protect, recover, and continue operations at Stony Brook Medicine, Stony Brook University Hospital and related facilities.

Anticipated Pay Range

The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established based on relevant experience.

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents SBSH’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Prior to start date, the selected candidate must meet the following requirements:

Successfully complete pre-employment physical examination and obtain medical clearance from Stony Brook Southampton Hospital’s Employee Health Services*

Complete electronic reference check with a minimum of three (3) professional references. Successfully complete a 4 panel drug screen* Meet Regulatory Requirements for pre-employment screenings. Provide a copy of any required New York State license(s)/certificate(s).

Failure to comply with any of the above requirements could result in a delayed start date and/or revocation of the employment offer.

The hiring department will be responsible for any fee incurred for examination .
