Howmet Fastening Systems (HFS) is seeking a Quality Tech III, Gage Control at our aerospace manufacturing facility in the City of Industry, CA.

Summary Under general supervision performs inspection and calibration of gauges and tooling. Maintains all record and documentation pertaining to calibration system.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Performs inspection and calibrates all in-house gauges and tools used for product acceptance

Maintains accurate calibration records in the FIS computer recall system

Assist manufacturing and inspection with the recall of gauges.

Coordinates with procurement on gauges which require outside calibration

Schedules subcontractors for calibration of Laboratory NDT and inspection equipment

Reviews and approves calibration certifications

Responsible for traceability and control of master gauges to the National Bureau of Standards

Maintains stamp issuance and control process in accordance with internal procedure

Basic Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Quality in a Aerospace Manufacturing environment

Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this option

This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulation (ITAR) which requires U.S. Person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as a U.S. citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (ie. Green Card Holder), Political Asylee, or Refugee

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience with Quality Gage/Calibration preferred

High School diploma or GED preferred

Benefits/Salary:

The position includes competitive wages and a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance (medical, dental, vision), excellent 401k matching program, paid holidays and vacation. The salary range for this position is $25.00 to $35.00.
