Summary:
Receives, stores, and moves materials and product in addition to performing the following duties:
Acts as a Material Handler and Stocker.
Unloads trucks using forklift
Moves materials to proper storage locations
Moves material to appropriate production locations as needed and directed
Loads and unloads materials on or off pallets, racks and/or shelves
Follows appropriate loading and unloading procedures
Is the first point of contact for production material requests
Reports any shortages and/or damages to Head Receiver
Enforces and implements all receiving and security procedures and policies
Follows instructions from Materials Manager and Head Receiver
Can effectively communicate with other Material Handlers and Stockers
Ensures/delegates housekeeping duties are met daily.
Follows all company Safety procedures
Education and/or Experience:
One-year certificate from college or technical school; or 6-12 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
OR
at least six months of related experience/training
Must have Forklift Certification or be able to pass certification
Ability to read a tape measure
Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift/move up to 50 lbs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Performs all manual labor in the area to which assigned
Keeps area neat and clean
Reads and use a tape measure
Reads blueprints and orders
Communicates well with coworkers
Uses hand tools, air tools, and electrical tools
Other duties may be assigned.
Work Schedule:
The typical schedule for this position is
6:30 am - 3:00 pm, Monday-Friday .
Schedule may vary depending on production needs and overtime, though kept to a minimum, occasional scheduling changes may be required.
Education and/or Experience:
One-year certificate from college or technical school; or 6-12 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Competencies:
Must have a strong work ethic
Must be willing to arrive on time, per scheduled shift - daily.
Must have the ability to work quickly and methodically
Must understand and follow safety procedures
Must have good teamwork skills
Must live by the Champion Operating Principles
