Head of Neuromuscular Therapeutic Area, US Medical Affairs Join to apply for the Head of Neuromuscular Therapeutic Area, US Medical Affairs role at argenx. Responsibilities

Lead team of medical directors and field medical teams with accountability for the development and implementation of the Medical Affairs strategy, plan and activities within the NM TA (diseases such as MG, CIDP, Myositis, MMN, etc), aligning with cross-functional colleagues including Global Medical Affairs, Marketing, Market Access, Patient Services, Global Clinical Development, Global Clinical Operations, Neuromuscular Expert, etc. Own and maintain the highest scientific and medical expertise across all diseases and products/assets within the NM TA. Proactively identify and develop collaborations with clinical experts, KOLs, professional organizations, and stakeholders for evidence generation, communication, and insights. Lead NM teams to initiate and support high-impact medical activities such as advisory boards, congress symposia, hospital formulary meetings, speaker development programs, and payer market access education focused on improving patient outcomes. Support the development and execution of publication plans aligned with scientific communications to ensure timely and impactful data dissemination. Identify and implement high-impact medical research projects to support business objectives, including argenx-sponsored and investigator-initiated projects, post-hoc analyses, and clinical collaborations. Coordinate medical affairs practices and information gathering to assess new indications, the treating community, patient pathways, diagnostic practices, and management strategies in relevant disease areas. Collaborate with clinical development and operations to support study development, feasibility assessment, initiation, and ongoing management to achieve recruitment and study objectives. Foster cross-functional collaboration within US and globally and build strong relationships across teams. Promote an inclusive and empowered NM TA medical affairs environment, ensuring alignment with Scientific Communications, HEOR, Medical Information, Medical Operations, and field-based Medical Research Liaison Team. Support cross-functional teams to ensure patient-focused operations and respond to internal and external requests with medical affairs support for all stakeholders. Attend national and international scientific meetings and congresses to gather intelligence, educate, develop relationships with key customers, and deliver an impactful congress presence for argenx. Provide medical leadership for training programs for field-based teams and other functions to prepare staff for customer interactions. Systematically capture, distill, and communicate key HCP/KOL insights and activities to argenx Senior Management. Ensure medical accuracy of Medical Affairs activities, including advisory boards, scientific meetings, studies, publications, congress activities, medical education, medical information content, and medical field programs. Maintain compliance with applicable pharmaceutical regulations and argenx policies and procedures. Skills And Competencies

Empowered leadership across medical strategy and field medical teams with significant people leadership experience. Strong track record of talent development in Medical Affairs leadership roles. Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally with Global Medical Affairs, Marketing, Market Access, Clinical Development, and Science/Discovery. Ability to maintain high knowledge in complex disease areas, treatments, and clinical development plans. Experience in developing and implementing an outcomes-focused medical affairs plan including tactics, evidence generation, communication, and KOL collaboration. Critical, creative, strategic, and proactive thinking. Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills. Strong understanding of regulations and industry interactions with healthcare professionals and product access. Willingness to travel approximately 40% of the time. Education, Experience And Qualifications

MD, PhD or PharmD with significant team leadership experience 10+ years of industry experience Expertise in US healthcare dynamics including patient journey, access, regulatory requirements and compliance/ethics Experience in neurology, immunology or rheumatology and/or related biopharmaceutical industry experience Preferences
