Responsibilities The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the Frederick P. Whiddon College of Medicine, University of South Alabama, is seeking an OTA fellowship-trained, BE/BC orthopaedic surgeon to join the Division of Orthopaedic Trauma. The University of South Alabama maintains a Level I Trauma Center at USA Health University Hospital. The successful candidate will have a keen interest in academic surgery in the areas of patient care, resident and student education, and trauma-related clinical and translational research. For applicants interested in physician leadership opportunities, we will support an opportunity to receive an MBA for Healthcare Professionals at USA Mitchell College of Business. Candidates who have completed an accredited training program and are eligible for and maintain an unrestricted Alabama medical license are eligible to apply. This position carries a faculty appointment at the University of South Alabama Whiddon College of Medicine; rank and salary are commensurate with experience.
