Ascension Location: Brookfield, WI (Elmbrook Medical Office Building) | Schedule: 1.0 FTE (40 hours/week) | Days | Monday–Friday | No weekends or major holidays
Responsibilities
Assist with the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician.
Assist with treatments ordered by physician as supervised by physician or registered nurse.
Perform select clinical duties and interview patients, measure vital signs, and record information on patient charts.
Prepare treatment rooms for examinations and perform basic clerical duties (e.g., answering phones, maintaining records, filing).
Perform basic materials management functions including ordering and stocking supplies and maintain a clean, orderly environment.
Requirements
Licensure/Certification/Registration:
BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date; American Heart Association OR American Red Cross accepted.
Education:
High school diploma equivalency or 1 year of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required. Note: required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
Work Experience:
Some experience as a medical assistant strongly preferred.

Medical Assistant:
Assists with provider-ordered treatments; interviews patients, measures vital signs, prepares rooms, and performs clerical duties.
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN):
Contributes to patient assessment, administers medications, performs laboratory tests and therapeutic services, and educates patients/families about treatment plans and follow-up care.
