Purchaser McGrath Electric, Inc. (Fairfield, CA) McGrath Electric, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Purchaser to join our procurement team. Youll support field management, project managers, and company executives to ensure the right materials are sourced and delivered on time for our projects. Key Responsibilities: Source and order materials, negotiate pricing, and track purchase orders Communicate with vendors to resolve issues, mitigate long lead items, and ensure timely delivery Review project specifications and product data requirements to confirm proper materials are ordered Research and resolve vendor pricing issues Negotiate and purchase commodity buyouts Coordinate delivery and return of company-owned tools and equipment Manage returns of excess material and follow up on credits Provide quotes and product information for estimating pricing and availability Support project schedules and collaborate with field and project management Skills & Qualifications: Experience in purchasing or electrical construction preferred Knowledge of electrical installation, contract documents, and construction specifications Ability to read and interpret project specifications and product data requirements Strong written and verbal communication skills Proficiency in MS Office Suite and construction accounting software Familiarity with industry software such as Kojo and Procore Highly organized, detail-oriented, and efficient Strong negotiation and business relations skills Professional demeanor and ability to represent the company image Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines Company Culture & Perks:
