We are seeking a skilled Cloud & Infrastructure Systems Administrator to manage and optimize our hybrid IT environment. This role involves overseeing cloud platforms (Azure and AWS), automating infrastructure tasks, ensuring system reliability through AI-powered tools, and maintaining secure, scalable systems across both cloud and on-premises environments.
Key Responsibilities
Cloud & Hybrid Infrastructure Management
Configure, maintain, and support Microsoft Azure and AWS environments, including virtual machines, networking, storage, and identity services across cloud and on-premise systems.
Automation & Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
Develop scripts using PowerShell, Python, and Terraform to automate provisioning, configuration, and routine tasks. Apply IaC principles to ensure consistency and scalability.
AI-Driven Operations (AIOps)
Use platforms like Splunk and Azure Monitor to detect anomalies, predict failures, and automate incident response through intelligent monitoring and log analysis.
Containerization & Orchestration
Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes to support scalable and resilient infrastructure.
Security & Compliance
Implement and enforce security policies, manage identity and access controls (Azure AD and IAM tools), ensure data encryption, and conduct regular audits.
Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity
Design and test recovery strategies for both cloud-native and on-premise systems to minimize downtime and data loss.
Virtualization & Server Management
Administer VMware vSphere and Windows Server environments, ensuring systems are secure, patched, and optimized.
Work closely with development and security teams in a DevOps/DevSecOps culture. Support CI/CD pipelines and mentor junior staff.
Intelligent Infrastructure Optimization
Partner with data science teams to integrate machine learning models and intelligent agents for capacity planning and resource optimization.
Required Qualifications
5+ years of experience in systems administration or a related enterprise IT role
Proven expertise with Microsoft Azure and/or AWS
Strong scripting skills in PowerShell and/or Python
Experience with Azure Entra ID, API Management, Front Door, Virtual Desktop, Application Proxy Gateway, and Data Gateway
Proficiency with Terraform or other IaC tools
Hands-on experience with VMware vSphere and Windows Server
Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes
Understanding of AIOps tools and principles
Knowledge of Microsoft 365, Power Platform, Intune, and MECM/SCCM
Basic understanding of machine learning and intelligent systems in infrastructure
Solid grasp of networking concepts, hybrid cloud connectivity, and load balancing
Strong knowledge of Active Directory and modern identity management
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Relevant certifications (Azure, AWS, VMware) are a strong plus
Bachelor s degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent experience
