Regional Director, HCV Sales -- Florida

The Regional Director, Sales HCV, is responsible for representing Gilead's products and services to a defined customer base, generating and growing a sales team focused on consistently achieving or exceeding regional sales targets within a specific geographic area, including in-person representation and face-to-face meetings with healthcare practitioners. The role focuses on training Specialists to establish strong working relationships with healthcare practices to provide timely disease awareness information, clinical updates on education, and healthcare changes. The Regional Director should have strong analytical, training, and communications skills and a proven record of sales success. The position requires synthesizing market data to guide the team in alignment with national direction. This opportunity supports the Florida region. Primary Responsibilities
Exhibits leadership of the region and leadership within the organization by setting a standard of excellence. Demonstrates a commitment to Gilead's ongoing Inclusion & Diversity efforts. Exercises judgment, integrity, and equitable management practices necessary to guide the day-to-day activities of a diverse cross-section of individuals. Develops and maintains solid customer relationships with key executives, decision influencers, and decision-makers at major medical centers, clinics, and other accounts. Tracks and reinforces measures of sales force effectiveness (i.e., adherence to strategy, tactical implementation, program planning, proper use of funds, reach and frequency on targets, etc.) at the regional level to meet corporate sales objectives. Coordinates with leadership across Gilead functions: National Accounts, Marketing, Medical Scientists and other internal teams on cross-functional projects. Analyses and presents scientific/technical details with understanding of pharmaceutical marketing and sales regulations, guidelines, and policies. Proactively shares knowledge of new product or disease state developments and considerations in product protocols. Provides counseling and coaching to the sales team, enhancing selling skills, product and disease state knowledge, customer focus, and time management/resources. Recruits, hires, and manages a team of specialists; develops learning plans, training solutions, and provides mentoring and coaching. Serves as liaison between home office and region to identify and resolve issues, opportunities, and competitive activities with appropriate management. Defines roles, responsibilities, and measurable outcomes for the specialist team; regularly measures success and provides performance feedback. Takes a lead role in representing the company at professional events and promotes products there. Uses business acumen to analyze industry trends, competitors, and practices; leads cross-functional projects with broad impact. Demonstrates track record of success in selling, including technical knowledge, data interpretation, and industry understanding. Communicates business direction and vision to the region; explains scientific/technical business information within applicable regulations and policies. Demonstrates outstanding interpersonal and relationship-building, influencing and negotiating skills. Guides on human resource management issues and navigates complex people-management challenges. Manages large projects within cross-functional teams and adheres to operational excellence for administrative work. Has proven experience in launching or turning around a product. Is viewed as an industry-trend expert and product/disease-state knowledge holder, including cost vs. efficacy and dosing considerations. Represents Gilead’s products and services to defined customers, generating and growing sales and meeting/exceeding regional targets; includes in-person meetings with healthcare practitioners in the region. Travel as required within the assigned area; on-site visitation requirements for healthcare practitioners may apply (e.g., vaccinations, screenings). Perform essential duties satisfactorily with reasonable accommodations as needed. 12 years of relevant commercial experience in marketing, sales, or related function. Exceptional leadership with the ability to set a vision, lead change, and coach/mentor others. Strategic thinker with ability to formulate, develop and execute strategy. Excellent project management with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Strong interpersonal skills to lead and interact with individuals from diverse cultures and disciplines; executive presence with sound business judgment. Excellent written and verbal communications. The salary range for this position is $205,615.00 - $266,090.00. Gilead considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. This position may be eligible for discretionary bonuses, stock-based incentives, paid time off, and a benefits package.
