Overview
Senior Project Manager – Northern Virginia Area. Automated Logic has an opportunity for a Senior Project Manager (This role focuses on serving clients within the Northern Virginia area). This role will support mission critical data center projects as well as a spectrum of other vertical markets (K-12, healthcare). We are looking for an experienced Field Service professional with deep knowledge and highly developed technical expertise in project management, capable of developing project plans and budgets, identifying project problems, recommending solutions, documenting project delays, performing critical path analyses, and presenting progress reports. The role involves improving direct communications with customers and field team members, analyzing and interpreting test information to resolve moderate design/system related problems, developing specialized product knowledge, and performing diagnostic procedures. May contact and meet customers on a daily basis. Responsibilities
Manage projects following project processes and, where applicable, provide direction to assisting Project Engineers and Field Engineers. Complete projects per contractual requirements within budget, on-time, and with a high level of customer satisfaction. Responsible for the overall financial performance of assigned projects including project planning, billing, revenue forecasting, A/R collections and re-estimating costs of installation projects. Forecast project revenues and re-estimates project costs on a monthly basis to monitor costs and maximize project profitability. Manage the delivery of the contracted scope and secure change orders for the expansion of scope. Support the development of project plans, schedules and budgets for projects under responsibility to ensure adherence to the established program plan, schedule, and budget. Track progress and identify/resolve obstacles to minimize disruption to project schedules. Lead the creation of SOP/MOP documentation for mission critical facility projects. Coordinate project materials and the use of shared resources; identify resource constraints and assist with corrective action plans to remedy any issues. Manage relationships with sub-contractors, identify issues, and implement corrective action plans as needed. Perform on-site services for new and existing clients, including equipment servicing and upgrades. Maintain and present plans and progress reports relating to business aspects of the project(s) to track progress and ensure targets are met. Troubleshoot technical problems, assess product needs in accordance with customer specifications, and communicate with stakeholders. Act as the product knowledge expert and perform diagnostic procedures. Interpret test information to resolve design/system-related problems and ensure continuous improvement. Communicate technical information to technical and non-technical stakeholders, including senior management, to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction. Facilitate project tasks with functional organizations to align with overall project objectives. Keep customers informed on service provided or outstanding issues and recommend system enhancements, upgrades, or repairs. Identify and address project problems and recommend resolutions for successful completion. Basic Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED 5+ years of experience in Construction, HVAC or Building Automation 1+ years of experience with the Microsoft Office Suite 2+ years of experience on mission critical projects Clean and valid driver’s license Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or building HVAC with a focus on building automation controls Experience leading/managing teams on high-value, mission critical projects Prior knowledge of Data Center construction Field experience and understanding of Automated Logic Controls installation and operation Ability to lead and motivate teams; strong problem solving, planning and project management skills Ability to read and understand scope of work; exceptional written and verbal communication Demonstrated knowledge of project financial reporting Experience handling multiple challenges across disciplines; team player with the customer’s best interests in mind Equal Opportunity
