Dr. Douglas Charters has proudly served the Fresno community since 1986, when Dr. Douglas O. Charters opened the practice. For 39 years, the practice has thrived on word-of-mouth referrals, with many patients remaining loyal since the 1970s, when Dr. Charters began practicing at Gemco. In January 2023, Dr. Jonathan Serrins took ownership, carrying forward the same tradition of quality eye care and personal connection. Today, the practice provides comprehensive eye exams for patients of all ages, diagnoses, and manages ocular diseases, prescribes corrective lenses, and offers vision therapy when needed. What You'll Do

As an Associate Optometrist at Serrins Valley Vision Optometry, you will utilize modern diagnostic tools, including Revolution EHR, Optos, NCT, New OCT, and Fields Equipment to deliver high-quality patient care. You will perform comprehensive eye exams for patients of all ages, diagnose and manage ocular diseases and disorders, prescribe corrective lenses, and provide vision therapy when needed. A key part of your role will be educating patients on eye health, treatment options, and preventative care while collaborating with a team of professionals to ensure a seamless patient experience. You possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, along with a commitment to delivering high-quality, compassionate care in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. You are skilled at confidently handling a diverse range of patients with varying visual needs and age groups. Your enthusiasm for staying updated on the latest advancements in optometry and developing personalized treatment plans supports the practice's growth and reputation as a community leader.
