Simon & Schuster is currently seeking a Inventory Control Specialist to join our Distribution Center in Jackson, TN. This position will managing inventory and conducting audits of shipping labels among other duties.
DUTIES:
Monitor inventory levels and accuracy in WM
Audit waving shorts and reconcile any discrepancies in split case area and reserve pallet racks
Research short ships from waving and shorts on the floor
Cycle Count as needed
Review Transitional Inventory report and cycle count transitional inventory to reconcile
Perform Put away/Empty verifications
Work with all warehouse departments and Inventory Control to resolve all inventory variances
Operate Order Selector as needed
Other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
Strong analytical and organizational skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work in a warehouse environment
Proficient in WM, UOPS
Proficient with RF
Experience with Microsoft Office programs preferred
High School Diploma or GED preferred.
Able to lift 50 lbs.
Able to stand for up to 8 hours/day.
Able to follow all safety policies and procedures.
Able to effectively communicate when needed
Overtime as needed (both voluntary and mandatory)
Location: Jackson, TN
Hours: 1st Shift - 7:30am-4:00pm
