We are hiring a Director of New Ventures, Commercial and Revenue Controllership to lead revenue controllership for newly acquired businesses and support post-acquisition integration. You will ensure compliance with ASC 606, SEC, and SOX standards, and partner across Finance, Sales, Procurement, Legal, Operations, and IT to drive aligned execution. What You’ll Do
Reports to: VP, Business Controller, New Ventures Direct Reports: 0 Lead the monthly revenue close for newly acquired businesses, owning end-to-end accounting for key revenue streams (revenue recognition, technical assessments, SOX control design, and external disclosures under ASC 606 and SEC requirements). Apply Axon’s global order-to-cash standards to integrate acquired businesses into our processes and controls. Execute post-acquisition integration, including due diligence, financial system alignment, and process transformation. Collaborate with Sales, FP&A, Legal, Operations, IT and Finance to implement pre-contract review practices, streamline fulfillment planning, and align revenue reporting with internal forecasts and external guidance. Train and mentor team members on technical revenue topics and scale global processes. Deliver timely monthly and quarterly revenue reporting for senior leadership; enhance dashboards, reporting tools, and workflow automation; utilize ERP/CRM systems (D365, Salesforce, OneStream, HFM, Alteryx) to drive transformation. Qualifications
Technical Foundations: CPA required; deep U.S. GAAP knowledge with a focus on ASC 606; public company experience including SEC reporting and SOX compliance. Experience: 10+ years of progressive accounting/controllership across Big 4 and industry; proven ability to manage SaaS recurring revenue, hardware/manufacturing, and complex multi-element arrangements; experience supporting NPI and financial readiness from Read-to-Quote through revenue treatment; experience leading finance workstreams in M&A integration from diligence through post-close. Systems: Strong fluency with D365, Salesforce, OneStream, HFM, Alteryx, Adaptive. Leadership: Cross-functional leadership, ability to influence executives, and a track record of driving action and business impact in ambiguous environments. Location & Schedule
This role is eligible to be based out of Axon’s US hubs (New York, Atlanta, Boston, DC, Denver, Phoenix, Seattle) with a hybrid schedule. In-person collaboration is expected on-site Tue–Fri; remote optional on Mon unless a workplace accommodation is approved. Benefits
