Sheila Hedayati The full salary range for the Director, Systemwide Radiation Safety Program is $114,300.00 - $220,900.00 annually. However, the expected pay scale for this position is up to $167,600 annually. Serves as the UC system-wide technical expert in the development and implementation of Radiation Safety programs. Represent EH&S regarding the field/discipline at meetings and conferences involving academic compliance committees, campus, system-wide, local government, state and federal levels of authority in matters related to field of expertise. Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training. Advanced degree in related area. 8 - 13 years of related experience. Medical Radiation Safety Officer experience. Professional certification. Certified Health Physicist/Certified Medical Health Physicist Minimum Requirements Expert knowledge/understanding of specific EH&S field and strong knowledge of all EH&S fields. Expert knowledge and skill in applying and interpreting applicable local, state, and federal regulations and related standards, guidelines and, as appropriate, recommend organization or systemwide policy. Advanced written, verbal and interpersonal communications skills, including advanced political acumen and skill to deal with diverse constituencies in a highly political environment. Advanced analytical skills and ability to organize, prioritize and manage the successful completion of high-level and potentially complex projects within budget and time constraints. Expert skill to effectively represent the organization to state and federal authorities, and community groups. Expert skill in mentoring or overseeing the work of other EH&S technical and professional staff. Expert skill to appropriately use technology and relevant scientific equipment as required.
