Job Title: General Production Worker
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated General Production Worker to join our team. In this role, you will perform various physical tasks to support our small production operation. You will be responsible for handling steel tubes and ensuring efficient production processes.
Responsibilities
Bend over and perform physical labor, stacking 10ft steel tubes in a small production area.
Rack, inspect, and band products together, handle materials, and package products.
Sweep and assist in the warehouse when production tasks are not demanding.
Essential Skills
6+ months of manufacturing experience or labor-type experience.
Ability to lift 50lbs and perform physical work throughout the day.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in manufacturing, labor, production, and physical labor.
Skills in general labor, assembly, forklift operation, general production, cleanroom procedures, machine operation, hand tool usage, construction, troubleshooting, and measuring with a tape measure.

Work Environment
Our workplace is a small, family-owned shop that has been operational for 70 years. Known for industrial metal plating, the environment is akin to a job shop. Expect seasonal temperature variations—hot in the summers and cold in the winters, with a relatively dirty environment. The dress code includes jeans and steel-toed shoes. Work hours are from 7 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with potential for extended hours if necessary.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $17.00/hr.
