Job Description The Social Catering Sales Manager is responsible for all aspects of selling, contracting, and servicing events, maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency while meeting or exceeding guest satisfaction goals and overall profitability objectives.

Responsibilities

Proactively sell, contract, and service social and small corporate bookings with a primary focus on weddings.

Coordinate all aspects of an event as assigned by the Director of Catering & Convention Services, including but not limited to: food and beverage requirements, event timing, audio-visual requirements, guest attention, room type allocation, rooming list, amenities, function room setup, group transportation, check-in/out processes, special meal requests, arrival/departure manifests, bag pulls, luggage storage, complimentary rooms, billing instructions, authorized signatures, room deliveries, telephone and internet requirements, box storage and delivery, power requirements, group hospitality/office/registration desk requirements, business center requirements, key requirements, expected food & beverage outlet usage, entertainment, leisure activities, and décor requirements.

Adhere to all Catering and Convention Service Department and resort standard operating procedures.

Meet and/or exceed personal monthly and annual sales production goals.

Be aware of departmental operating budgets and upsell at every opportunity.

Partner with the culinary team to create menus that fit client needs and maximize food and beverage revenues.

Recommend appropriate in-house and/or preferred vendors for group-related services to drive hotel revenue.

Prepare resumes for each group and review details at weekly resume meetings.

Create Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) to review with the client and disperse to relevant departments in daily meetings.

Coordinate on-site ancillary revenue activities (spa, golf, recreation, etc.).

Conduct site inspection tours when necessary.

Maintain close client contact with effective communication to ensure guest satisfaction and foster relationships with repeat clients.

During events, ensure all planned specifications are followed and corrected as needed.

Conduct pre- and post-conference meetings when appropriate with clients.

Proactively achieve high Medallia scores through client rapport, thorough preparation, and visible presence during conferences.

Attend required meetings including Stand-Up, BEO, Resume Meetings, and Department Staff Meetings.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management or related field (preferred).

2+ years of related catering sales experience in an upscale or luxury full-service hotel setting (strongly preferred).

Flexible work hours to include weekends and holidays to meet a 24-hour operation.

Strong computer knowledge with aptitude in Microsoft Office, Delphi.fdc/Salesforce, and other management systems.

Exceptional attention to detail and ability to handle large, complex, multifaceted events and multiple events concurrently.

Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Appropriate, professional appearance and presentation.
