The primary role of a Data Entry Specialist is to operate data entry devices such as a keyboard or computer to verify and input data accurately. This position requires meticulous documentation of information and effective personal project management.
Responsibilities
Read source documents like canceled checks, sales reports, or bills and enter data into specific fields or onto tapes or disks using keyboards or scanners.
Compile, sort, and verify the accuracy of data before entry.
Locate and correct data entry errors or report them to supervisors.
Compare data with source documents or re-enter data in verification format to detect errors.
Maintain logs of activities and completed work.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in data entry and customer service.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Keen attention to detail and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
Capability to accurately document and record customer/client information.
Experience with computer applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Completion of a speed and accuracy data entry test may be required.
High school diploma or GED.
0-2 years of related experience.
Work Environment
This position requires working onsite from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM from Tuesday to Friday, and from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM on Saturday. The role involves working in a production area where managing daily tasks and sample forms efficiently is crucial.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
