Position Title: Regional Chief Estimator - Heavy Civil
Location: Irvine, CA
Job Type: Full-Time | In-office
Pay Range: $200k - 250k
We are seeking a Regional Chief Estimator in Irvine, CA. This is a full-time in office position.
Responsibilities
Responsible for all aspects of Estimating process Conduct thorough analysis of drawings and specifications, ensuring required information is provided. Perform detailed project cost estimate using estimating software such as HCSS. Research selected products from a cost and construct ability perspective. Solicit sub-contractor pricing and bids for different trades in preparation of cost estimate. Review progress and construction documents for construct ability. Lead and participate in discussion regarding alternate detail and materials for specific areas or trades. Provide and present value engineering options and costs. Provide and present estimating productions and scheduling. Coordinate administrative staff in sending documents to vendors. Requirements
Qualifications
College degree in Engineering or Construction Management. Minimum 10+ years’ heavy civil estimating experience Substantial construction experience and / or engineering background Have a thorough understanding of construction means and methods. Local knowledge of the industry. Must be fluent in English – written and oral. Skills
Highly proficient in selected software (Excel, Word, Outlook) HCSS Heavy Bid estimating software and P6 a plus. Ability to make decisions, work independently and coordinate estimating colleagues. Ability to meet critical project deadlines, willingness to coordinate and work as a team member. Benefits
