Salary: $55 - $75 per hr About the Role

Keish Environmental is hiring a Permitting Compliance Manager to join our team and ensure the successful execution of critical environmental permitting processes. You will oversee the accuracy, quality, and timely submission of environmental compliance documentation for multiple construction projects, combining project management with regulatory knowledge at the intersection of construction, environmental planning, and stakeholder coordination. Responsibilities

Manage and oversee compliance documentation to ensure accuracy, quality, and regulatory compliance. Coordinate with regulatory agencies such as the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS), California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW), and the State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB) to secure and maintain permits for construction projects. Identify and resolve compliance-related issues and support permit amendments as required. Lead project teams through complex regulatory requirements, ensuring compliance throughout the construction phase and timely resolution of issues. Coordinate with internal teams, clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies to ensure seamless communication and successful project delivery. What You Bring

Experience: At least 8 years in environmental construction compliance, project management, and permitting under major federal and state environmental laws (e.g., NEPA, CEQA, Clean Water Act, Endangered Species Acts), including related statutes (Porter-Cologne, Lake/Streambed Alteration Agreements). Regulatory Knowledge: Experience working with agencies such as USACE, USFWS, CDFW, and SWRCB. Leadership and Coordination: Ability to manage teams, coordinate with multiple stakeholders, and ensure timely compliance across complex projects. Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written abilities to draft clear compliance documents and engage with regulatory agencies effectively. Problem Solving: Solution-oriented mindset for addressing compliance challenges and resolving issues promptly. Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biology, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or related field; a master’s is not required to be listed as a prerequisite in this draft to avoid ambiguity. Familiarity with various construction contracting methods such as design-build. Experience procuring and/or implementing compensatory mitigation, including obtaining regulatory approvals. Familiarity with permitting software and tools used in environmental compliance management. GIS and/or database management applications.
