Lead the Design and Development of Core Software Components:
Architect and implement secure, reliable, and scalable microservices, applying software architecture principles and best practices. Integrate VIA's Web3 components and privacy-preserving technologies to deliver cutting-edge features and platform functionality. Champion and Implement Robust Engineering Processes and Automation:
Define, document, and drive adoption of end-to-end software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes from concept to deployment and maintenance. Spearhead automation pipelines for CI/CD, ensuring efficient and reliable releases. Ensure Software Quality, Reliability, and Performance:
Develop and execute automated testing strategies (unit and integration) and monitor performance to mitigate bottlenecks. Provide Technical Expertise and Facilitate Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Offer technical leadership in privacy and security, clearly communicating designs and technical processes to technical and non-technical stakeholders, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to align on outcomes. Drive Innovation and Continuous Improvement:
rapidly grasp new technical concepts, apply them to complex challenges, and integrate advancements in privacy, cryptography, and distributed systems. What you will bring to this role
Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, mathematics, engineering, or science. 5+ years of relevant full stack or backend development experience. Strong experience with cloud-based software development in a microservices environment and cryptography techniques, including: Service mesh (Istio), zero trust architecture and observability Developing RESTful APIs (e.g., FastAPI) secured by OAuth2/Auth Integrating asymmetric and/or symmetric encryption in applications Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, databases (SQL and NoSQL), and in-memory data storage Experience with parallel processing, message brokers, and distributed task queues Working knowledge of Docker containers and Helm charts Previously led an Agile team of developers a plus: On-time delivery of multiple quality software projects Advocating for technical excellence and software engineering best practices Ability to identify blockers and provide creative solutions Proficiency in documentation and ability to communicate technical processes to diverse audiences. Exposure to IETF RFCs, blockchain systems, zero-knowledge proofs is a plus. What does it take to be a successful VIAneer?
