Description
The Reservations Administrator oversees the reservations sales desk staff, aids in the booking and selling of all Ski School products, schedules lessons, tracks Ski School Sales Staff payroll, and performs other duties related to the successful business operations of the Cooper Ski School.
Duties and responsibilities Responsible for scheduling, supervising and training all sales desk staff, providing all the tools to provide guests with accurate information and exceptional guest experiences Reports directly with VP, Base Area Services for training, knowledge, and support of sales, refunds and setting up calendar for reservations of lessons, through the In Touch system Collaborates with the Ski School Director & Asst Director in coordinating instructor assignments Effectively Communicates with guests in person, email, and over the phone, conveying accurate information in a professional manner providing exceptional guest experiences Answers guest questions concerning Ski School lessons and all other products available Confirms reservations with guests and provides information for a smooth lesson experience Maintains a daily, monthly and season-long staff schedule, ensuring adequate Instructor availability for scheduling future lessons Maintains a knowledge of the strengths and weaknesses of all Ski School instructors Maintains an understanding of the operational schedule and daily limitations of the Ski School for lesson availability Maintains knowledge of all Ski School products & programs Works efficiently with the ticketing system to sell products and accurately operate the register assigned for the day Makes and fulfills reservations Reviews, explains, and redeems vouchers and coupons Accurately, neatly and expediently completes cashier reports summarizing and accounting for daily revenues versus reported sales Handles daily payroll functions for the Sales Desk Staff Maintains a clean and neat work area Any other tasks assigned Qualifications
Must be 18+ with a current and valid Driver's License High School Diploma or GED required Previous ski school and/or other ski resort experience preferred Excellent computer skills Excellent organizational and time management skills Good work ethic, dependability, and excellent customer service & communication skills Flexibility, adaptability, and willingness to learn and grow Must be able and willing to work holidays and weekends, as needed as ski industry employee. Working conditions
The Reservations Administrator position is based both inside and outside and is exposed to temperature extremes (above 85 degrees and below 20 degrees), sun and wind exposure, inclement weather (rain, snow, ice) and high altitudes (10,500+ feet).
Physical requirements
Must be able to walk on even/uneven/slippery terrain, climb/descend even/uneven/slippery terrain, climb/descend stairs, stand and/or sit for long periods of time, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, lift objects which may be heavy, etc. Advanced level skiing or riding capabilities are preferred.
