Bachelor's or associate degree in interior design, construction management, architecture, business, or related field is preferred. 8 + years of project management experience 5+ years focused on FF&E procurement and management with a thorough understanding of the building design and construction process and the contract furniture industry. Furniture management experience related to corporate fit-outs necessary and experience in healthcare, higher education, or luxury living sectors preferable. Excellent analytical, organizational, problem solving, presentation, verbal, and written communication skills. Skilled in stakeholder management; balancing client, designer, contractor, and vendor needs while maintaining project alignment. Proficient in essential software applications, including MS Office, MS Project or Primavera P6, PlanGrid, AutoCad, Adobe Acrobat or similar PDF tools (e.g., Bluebeam, Nitro), and project management platforms such as Procore or equivalent. What You’ll Be Doing
Lead the end-to-end management of FF&E project scopes – develop and oversee project plans, schedules, budgets, and deliverables for programs of varying sizes and complexities. Partner with designers, architects, and client stakeholders to evaluate options, finalize concepts, and ensure specifications align with both design intent and operational requirements. Ability to review design intent FF&E specifications with a level of detail that ensures the specifications are complete, correct and will allow for accurate pricing from FF&E bidders. Develop FF&E RFPs including scopes of work (SOW) and associated exhibits. Ability to thoroughly review and bid level FF&E RFP responses packages to ultimately prepare award recommendations to clients. Develop, monitor, and control project budgets including vendor bids, purchase orders, and change orders while identifying opportunities for cost savings and value engineering. Integrate FF&E milestones with broader construction and project schedules, proactively addressing long-lead items and supply chain risks. Direct vendor and supplier coordination, oversee procurement activities, negotiate terms, manage performance, and resolve issues related to quality, delivery, and installation. Produce and deliver accurate project documentation including status reports, financial tracking, cashflows, work orders, change documentation and risk logs – ensuring clarity and accountability across the team. Facilitate effective communication and decision-making in meetings and presentations, keeping clients informed and projects aligned with goals, timelines, and budgets. Proven ability to interpret and apply to FF&E the electrical, AV, low voltage, lighting, finish plan etc. construction documents to ensure coordination across all trades that work around or integrate into FF&E. Champion operational readiness and transition success, coordinating with relocation/move managers, IT, and facilities teams to ensure day-one readiness. Advise on sustainability, wellness, and corporate standards for FF&E selections, supporting clients’ ESG and workplace strategy objectives. Produce detailed logistics plans on the delivery and installation of 1000+ workspaces that utilizes multiple vendors and installers. Proactively seeks solutions to issues that arise with an approach of “I have a solution to this” before bringing the problem to the client, contractor, designer, etc. Ability to advise clients on FF&E procurement and management strategies. $120,000 - $150,000 per year (commensurate with experience) The advertised salary range is intended as a general guideline and may vary based on factors such as experience, expertise, and location.
