We strive to deliver quality of care and unparalleled hospitality to all our guests and team members. We are looking for a full-time Medical Records Director. Pay Range $26-$28/hr. DOE Medical Records Director: Assist in establishing and executing procedures to be followed in the collection, coding and indexing, and the filing/retrieving of medical records. Must be knowledgeable on federal and state laws regarding medical records. Review and audit admissions, discharges, change of condition, and other pertinent records on nursing units. Review department policies and procedures, at least annually, and participate in making recommended changes. Ensure that incomplete records/charts are returned to nursing service for correction. Abstract information from records as authorized/requested for insurance companies and other third-party payers. Ensure that registries are properly maintained for admission and discharge of residents. Develop and maintain a good working rapport with inter-department personnel, as well as other departments within the facility to assure that medical records can be properly maintained and problem areas can be identified and corrected. Requirements: Medical records certification. 1 year experience in the Medical Records Department within a Skilled Nursing Facility. Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, visitors and the general public.
