About the Role

We are seeking a Senior AI/ML Engineer to join Maersk’s Global Data & AI (GDA) team. This role is central to building and scaling our Generative AI (GenAI) and Machine Learning (ML) capabilities, enabling innovative AI-driven solutions that transform customer experience, operational efficiency, and decision-making across Maersk’s global ecosystem. As a Senior MLE, you will design, implement, and productionize advanced ML/GenAI models, while driving architectural decisions, best practices, and reusable frameworks to accelerate AI adoption. You will collaborate with data scientists, ML engineers, product teams, and business stakeholders to deliver enterprise-grade, reliable, and scalable AI systems. Key Responsibilities

ML & GenAI Development: Architect, build, and optimize machine learning and generative AI models (LLMs, RAG pipelines, embeddings, transformers) for large-scale enterprise applications. Engineering Excellence: Develop modular, reusable ML/GenAI components, APIs, and services to enable rapid experimentation and productionization. End-to-End Ownership: Drive the lifecycle from model research, training, fine-tuning, and evaluation, through deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement. Scalability & Performance: Ensure ML systems are robust, efficient, and production-ready, leveraging distributed systems, MLOps, and modern data platforms. Collaboration: Partner closely with product, platform, and business teams to identify opportunities, gather requirements, and deliver impactful AI solutions. Thought Leadership: Mentor junior engineers, contribute to technical strategy, and champion best practices in ML/GenAI, coding, and architecture. Innovation: Explore and apply emerging techniques in LLMs, retrieval-augmented generation, prompt engineering, embeddings, and multimodal AI. Required Qualifications

Education: BTech or MTech degree in computer science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field. Experience: 8+ years of relevant experience in Machine Learning/AI, with demonstrated expertise in designing and deploying production ML/GenAI systems. Strong programming skills in Python and familiarity with modern ML/GenAI frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face, LangChain, LangGraph, etc.). Experience with Agentic AI frameworks/orchestrators like langchain, langgraph, CrewAI, Agno etc. Experience with LLMs, RAG, embeddings, transformers, and related GenAI techniques. Proficiency in MLOps practices (CI/CD for ML, model monitoring, model lifecycle management) using tools like MLflow, Kubeflow, or similar. Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure preferred; AWS/GCP experience acceptable) and container/orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes). Proven ability to translate business problems into technical AI/ML solutions. Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills Preferred Skills

Experience building enterprise-grade AI applications (e.g., intelligent assistants, contextual search, recommendation systems, document intelligence). Exposure to big data technologies (Spark, Hadoop, Databricks). Experience with vector databases (FAISS, Pinecone, Weaviate, etc.). Knowledge of data privacy, security, and compliance in AI solutions. Track record of patents, publications, or innovative projects in GenAI/ML. What We Offer
