Correctional OB/GYN Physician , you will work alongside correctional officers and other medical professionals to provide comprehensive healthcare to women, focusing on reproductive health, pregnancy, and childbirth. This is a unique position where you can make a difference to a diverse population with complex medical needs. Responsibilities

Providing gynecological services including well woman care, annual Pap smears and pelvic exams, and hysterectomies Health education, STD screenings, follow up contraceptive counseling, prenatal care, postpartum care, and menopause care Providing comprehensive care to expectant mothers throughout their pregnancies, monitoring the health of both the mother and fetus Managing labor and delivery, whether vaginal or via cesarean section Diagnosing and treating conditions like infections, menstrual problems, and menopause-related issues Prescribing medications, patient counseling and support Collaborating with healthcare teams Maintaining accurate and detailed records of patient encounters Formulating a working diagnosis, developing and implementing treatment plans Evaluating patients who have returned from off-site treatment Scheduling and performing laboratory and diagnostic procedures Qualifications

MD or DO degree, completion of an OB/GYN residency, and board certification Must hold a current unrestricted license as an OB/GYN Physician in the State of Georgia Current DEA registration Possess an active CPR certification Be certified in a Board recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties Must possess strong written communication and verbal skills Have strong computer skills Integrity, professionalism and ability to adhere to a Code of Conduct and comply with all facility(s) correctional healthcare policies, procedures, and legal requirements Must pass the facility’s criminal background check and drug screening Physical Capabilities

Must have the ability to stand for long periods, lift and move patients (up to 50 pounds), bend, squat, reach, push, pull, walk significant distances, and perform physically demanding tasks like CPR, all while maintaining good balance and endurance throughout a shift. Why Join NaphCare?
