Montefiore is seeking an EPIC Perioperative Application Analyst (Optime, Anesthesia & Device Integration) to join our team. Base pay range: $98,384.00/yr - $122,980.00/yr. We are seeking an EPIC Perioperative Application Analyst (Optime, Anesthesia & Device Integration) to join our team. Responsibilities
Install new applications, new components, and upgrade existing applications. Configure application settings; provide go-live and rollout support. Interface with users/clients across the Montefiore Health System. Support users on new applications, modules, and functionality. Mentor and guide Application Analysts. Perform analysis of necessary application modifications and work with the appropriate Montefiore IT associates or the vendor to coordinate the modification. Determine how a new system, upgrade, or new component can best meet the needs of the users:
Analyze business/clinical needs and requirements. Interpret end user requirements, discuss potential options, and help client move toward an optimal solution. Evaluate the operational workflow that is applied to the system. Create system specifications from user requirements.
Create test plans and test new systems, version upgrades, and any system modifications. Document all outcomes of testing. Application implementation, troubleshooting, and support. Participate in technical integration and interface build. Write and maintain accurate and current documentation. Maintain training materials and disseminate materials to users. Provide day-to-day operational support, advanced application troubleshooting, coordinate modifications and updates, recommend improvements to increase efficiencies, and provide proactive monitoring. Provide 24 x 7 on-call coverage for user support on a rotating basis. On an as-needed basis, provide on-site support within Montefiore Medical Center hospitals and/or its affiliates (on-site, rotational support). Requirements
EPIC certifications. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Nursing, Health Informatics, or a related field. Experience will be considered in place of a degree. 2+ years of related clinical or business experience. Experience with perioperative services industry, including Pre-Op, Post-Op, Intraoperative nursing care. Strong consideration given to candidates with significant nursing experience and a demonstrated IT aptitude. Strong technical skills including Windows, UNIX. Application implementation, troubleshooting, testing, and support experience. Strong desktop skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio. Technical understanding of hardware, networking and servers. Knowledge of device integration. Critical thinking, excellent interpersonal, communications, and presentation skills. Must be adaptable in a rapidly changing environment with competing priorities. MEETING ALL REQUIREMENTS FOR EPIC CERTIFICATION IS A CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT. Desired
EPIC Optime and Anesthesia certifications. Device Integration knowledge. Prior experience with Provation, and Epic Lumens. Understanding of HL7 and other health-related standards. RN, PA or clinical experience is a plus. Note
