This position will be based on-site at our office in Denver, CO, in alignment with our flexible work policy (3 days on site required, 2 days flexible).

The Sr. Director, Regional Product Development is a strategic leader responsible for defining, localizing, and managing the data center product across the North America region. This role ensures that the company’s global data center platform is effectively adapted for local market demands, regulatory environments, continuous innovation, and infrastructure realities.

In close partnership with internal teams (Design, Engineering, Construction, Sales, Market Development, and Operations), this individual ensures that each facility reflects an optimal balance of technical performance, cost efficiency, delivery speed, and meets customer needs. The ideal candidate combines deep technical knowledge with commercial awareness and thrives in fast-paced, cross-functional environments.

Responsibilities

Own and evolve the regional data center product roadmap in alignment with global platform standards and business objectives.

Translate global design and performance standards into regionally adapted solutions that account for climate, utility availability, codes, construction practices, and customer expectations.

Identify opportunities for regional innovation that support sustainability, cost efficiency, or differentiation and provide that feedback to the global product organization.

Partner with Market Development, Sales, and Solutions Engineering to develop customer-aligned product solutions early in the sales cycle.

Coordinate with Design, Engineering, and Construction teams to ensure that the product is feasible, scalable, and repeatable in the region.

Align product delivery strategy with regional construction timelines and budget targets.

Provide input during site selection, acquisition, and due diligence, with a focus on design compatibility, utility availability, permitting risks, and development constraints.

Drive early-stage site planning and master planning aligned to the regional product standards.

Maintain and enforce design governance and product templates across regional projects.

Act as the regional voice in global product development discussions, advocating for needed adaptations and improvements.

Monitor lessons learned from past developments, field performance, and operational feedback to drive ongoing product evolution.

Manage the implementation of product updates or changes across all in-flight and future projects in the region.

Influence product decisions to support capital efficiency, delivery speed, and lifecycle performance.

Partner with procurement and construction teams to validate the impact of design/product decisions on supply chain and build schedules.

Additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (MEP, Electrical, Civil), Architecture, or related technical discipline.

10+ years of experience in data center or mission-critical facility design, engineering, with an emphasis in product development.

Experience working in developer/operator or hyperscale environments preferred.

Strong understanding of data center infrastructure systems (power, cooling, controls, structural, fire protection).

Experience with regional building codes, permitting processes, and local utility landscapes.

Knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, BIM, or other design software is a plus.

Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives, manage ambiguity, and drive alignment across stakeholders.

Strong communication, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills.

Ability to balance long-term strategy with short-term execution and problem-solving.

Travel required is expected to be up to 25%, but may increase as the business evolves.

Additional Details

Salary Range: $240,000 - $250,000 Base + Bonus (this range is based on Colorado market data and may vary in other locations)

Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including your qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
