Gas Meter Exchange Technicians

to support an Energy Aged Gas Meter Project in the Nashville area. This long-term opportunity involves field-based gas meter installations and safety inspections. If you're mechanically inclined, safety-focused, and ready to work outdoors, this is a great chance to join a high-impact utility project with full training and support provided.

Key Responsibilities:

Read and remove existing residential gas meters

Perform gas leak tests using company-provided equipment

Repair leaks and build gas meter loops

Install new gas meters and replace regulators as needed

Conduct final meter tests and document installations using a handheld device

Shut down and relight gas appliances safely

Identify hazardous or abnormal operating conditions

Communicate professionally with utility customers

Meet daily installation goals and maintain high safety and quality standards

Required Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

Ability to pass a pre-employment MVR check, background check, and DOT PHMSA-compliant drug screen

Physical ability to work outdoors for up to 10 hours/day in various weather conditions

Ability to use hand tools requiring upper body force up to 30 lbs

Strong communication skills and ability to work independently

Adherence to all Federal, State, and Local driving and safety regulations

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in natural gas field service operations

Prior experience installing or repairing gas meters

Familiarity with technology, computers, and software programs

This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Pay Details:

$22.00 per hour
