Overview
Job Title: Vice President, Team Lead - Portfolio Management Hotel Franchise Finance (HFF) Location: CityScape This role is a leadership position responsible for overseeing a team of Portfolio Managers supporting Lending and Deposit Sales. The team handles portfolio health management, provides insights on performance and trends, and collaborates with commercial bankers, business development officers, credit analysts, and partners from credit administration, loan administration, and credit risk review. The role represents the Bank in community and reinvestment activities and supports market position in the financing arena.
What You’ll Do
Review work from Portfolio Managers, including loan presentations, rating reviews, credit applications, financial analysis, extension of credit limits, action plans, provisional risk scoring, and standard portfolio management requirements.
Identify risk issues and monitor and report on borrower and project conditions; escalate to appropriate departments when necessary.
Supervise general portfolio management activities such as credit concentration reviews, portfolio optimization, trend analysis, and reporting on under-performing assets with mitigation recommendations.
Coordinate work distribution and service level performance. Oversee processing of approved loans to ensure compliance with agreements, customer needs, and bank lending policies. Contribute to policy improvements in credit and loan administration.
Compile and analyze market research to develop product and service recommendations for the target market.
Engage in business development and solicitation of new business within the target market.
Develop and maintain customer database, track calls and results on new relationships and referrals; prepare reports for leadership as required.
Lead and develop the team, including hiring, coaching, performance management, training, and development.
What You’ll Need
9+ years of related experience in Portfolio Management or a similar field.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Previous leadership experience required.
Advanced knowledge of general banking operations, including deposit operations, loan administration, treasury management, and other commercial banking products and services.
Advanced knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules, and regulations, industry standards, and practices.
Advanced knowledge of commercial credit and loan structuring, pricing dynamics, and market awareness.
Advanced communication skills (speaking and writing).
Compensation Salary range for new hires is generally $150,000.00 - $173,562.00 for Chicago, IL. Salary is location-dependent. The role may be eligible for an annual bonus/incentives and restricted stock.
