City of Wellsburg – Candidates for City Manager

The City of Wellsburg (population of 2,300) is seeking candidates for the City Manager position. Salary is DOQ plus benefits. The City Manager is responsible for a 2.8 million dollar budget, including water, sewer and storm water utilities and general fund. They are also responsible for day-to-day operations of the city, with 20 full time and four part time employees. Responsibilities and requirements include: A B.A. or B.S. in a related field, with an M.P.A. or M.B.A. preferred. Experience with WV budget preparation; grant writing and reporting; personnel management and policies; public utility operations and management with PSC compliance. Strong interpersonal and consensus building skills; knowledge and ability to write bid packages; and experience with construction and blue prints.
