Direct the quality assurance/quality control function to ensure product and process quality requirements are met. Establish, implement, and apply appropriate policies and procedures to comply with governmental, regulatory, and customer requirements. Drive continuous improvement activities. Principle Duties and Responsibilities

Promote quality activities in manufacturing, support functions, and other business units to ensure company objectives are met. Direct the Quality Plan and Systems, Production Quality and Supplier Quality areas within the overall Quality Assurance Department. Direct the maintenance and continuous improvement of the ISO 9001 Quality Management System, quality manuals and practices. Direct and maintain the highest quality standards focused on continuous improvement of quality guided by quality measurements and analysis. Increase collaboration between business units regarding audits, inspections, and testing to meet company objectives and improve customer satisfaction. Direct and drive improved quality through a domestic and international supplier base. Improvement Activities: Systemically drive quality through compliance and continuous improvement, including policies, procedures, processes, and cross functional activities. Plan and execute improvements using formal problem solving and lean tools guided by data collection and analysis. Recommend, plan, and execute capital expenditures. Basic Management & Execution: Ensure policies and procedures are followed to meet governmental and regulatory requirements. Administer performance management program for staff, including performance plans, development plans, assessments, discipline, and salary merit increases. Maintain strong cooperation with labor union and ensure labor contract is administered within established agreements. Establish and meet schedules within established budget and profit objectives. Allocate manpower resources to meet operational goals. Maintain quality records for internal and external use. Perform special assignments as assigned. Qualifications and Educational Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in business or technical discipline required, MBA highly preferred. Minimum of ten years relevant experience in Quality Management, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Program Management, and Systemic Change Management with a manufacturing company. Consistent record of achieving continuous improvement in quality, non-conformance warranty issues, corrective action reduction delivery, safety, and team building through hands-on and strategic leadership is required. Proficiency in use of an ERP computer software package is preferred. This position requires access or potential access to Unclassified Naval Nuclear Propulsion Information, which is Not Releasable to Foreign Nationals (NOFORN) data. Therefore, to meet NOFORN requirement, you will have to provide proof of US Citizenship and attest that you do not have dual citizenship.
