Legacy at Salina, under the management of
Campbell Street Senior Living , is seeking compassionate and dedicated
Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA)
to join our team. As a premier senior living community, we provide skilled nursing and long-term care services. This role is an excellent opportunity to provide hands-on care and make a difference in the lives of our residents. Job Duties & Responsibilities: Provide direct patient care
under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians, including assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding. Monitor and report changes
in residents’ physical and mental conditions to the nursing staff to ensure that appropriate care is provided. Assist with mobility , including helping residents move in and out of beds, chairs, and wheelchairs. Take and record vital signs , such as temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure. Assist with patient transfers , repositioning residents in their beds, and ensuring they are comfortable. Maintain a clean and safe environment
for residents by following infection control protocols and sanitizing equipment. Document care provided
and report any changes or concerns regarding the health and safety of residents. Assist residents with toileting , incontinence care, and changing bed linens as needed. Help with feeding
residents who need assistance with meals, ensuring they are comfortable during meal times. Provide companionship
to residents and offer emotional support, ensuring their dignity and respect are maintained. Respond to residents’ call lights
and provide timely assistance based on their needs. Assist with patient admissions and discharges , ensuring a smooth transition for residents. Participate in team meetings
and collaborate with the nursing staff to ensure the best care for residents. Support residents in social and recreational activities
as needed to improve their quality of life. Follow facility policies and procedures , ensuring compliance with all regulations and safety standards. Education Requirements & Qualifications (Kansas): Active CNA certification
in the state of Kansas. High school diploma or equivalent
required. Completion of an accredited CNA program . Current CPR and First Aid certification
required or must be obtained within a specific time frame after hiring. Previous experience in long-term care or senior living environments
is preferred, but not required. Basic understanding of medical terminology
and resident care practices. Ability to follow care plans
and provide individualized support to residents. Strong communication skills
to effectively interact with residents, families, and staff. Ability to work well independently and as part of a team . Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds , including assisting with the transfer or repositioning of residents. Must be able to stand, walk, and bend
for extended periods of time during shifts. Ability to assist with resident mobility , including moving or repositioning residents in beds, wheelchairs, or chairs. Occasional bending, kneeling, and stooping
while providing care to residents. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
and respond to various tasks and resident needs. Ability to work some evenings, weekends, or holidays
