Position Summary:
A strategic and experienced Director of Data Services & Reporting Analytics to lead our healthcare data infrastructure and analytics initiatives. This role will oversee the development of scalable data platforms, ensure regulatory compliance, and deliver actionable insights that support clinical, operational, and financial decision-making.
What you will do
Data Services Leadership:
Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of data infrastructure including data lakes, warehouses, and pipelines
Ensure data quality, integrity, and compliance with internal and external standards including HIPAA compliance and other healthcare regulations
Lead data governance initiatives and establish data management best practices
Analytics Strategy & Execution:
Develop and execute a comprehensive analytics strategy aligned with business goals
Lead the development of predictive models, dashboards, and reporting tools
Translate complex data into actionable insights for executive leadership and business units
Team & Project Management:
Build and manage a high-performing team of data engineers, analysts, BI developers and future data scientists
Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement
Provide mentorship and career development opportunities
Manage cross-functional analytics projects and ensure timely delivery of data solutions
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Partner with IT, Finance, Marketing, Operations, and other departments to identify data needs and deliver solutions
Support strategic initiatives with data-driven recommendations and performance metrics
Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership and influence strategic decisions
Support external reporting requirements and payer/provider partnerships
What you need
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Business, Economics, Mathematics, Finance, or a related field
10+ years of experience in healthcare reporting and analytics
8+ years in data services, analytics, business intelligence roles
7+ years in a leadership or management position
3+ years of experience in pharmacy or pharmacy benefit management (PBM) preferred
Proven expertise in enterprise data platforms and analytics tools
Proficient in database querying and data manipulation tools, particularly with large datasets (e.g., SQL, Python, SAS)
Strong understanding of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP)
Experience with business intelligence (BI) tools for report/dashboard design, build, and automation (e.g., PowerBI, Tableau)
Deep expertise with Microsoft Excel, including the use of VBA
Client-facing experience preferred with the ability to present complex data to non-technical stakeholders
Certifications preferred: PMP, Certified Data Analytics, Certified Analytics Professional, ITIL
Experience leading and motivating small to moderate-sized teams
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Willingness and ability to travel (20%-30%)
