to provide high-quality vision care and eye health services. In this role, you will perform comprehensive eye exams, diagnose and manage ocular diseases, prescribe corrective lenses, and collaborate with Dr. Segal and the broader clinical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Job Summary:
Conduct comprehensive eye examinations and vision tests, diagnose and manage ocular diseases, prescribe eyeglasses and contact lenses, and co-manage pre- and post-operative care for surgical patients. Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive eye examinations and vision tests Diagnose and manage ocular diseases such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, etc. Prescribe eyeglasses and contact lenses, and provide fittings Co-manage pre- and post-operative care for surgical patients (e.g., cataract, LASIK) Educate patients on proper eye care, vision health, and treatment options Maintain accurate and thorough patient records using EHR systems Collaborate with Dr. Segal and staff to ensure coordinated patient care Stay current with advancements in optometry and ophthalmology Qualifications:
Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited institution Current and valid state optometry license Strong diagnostic and clinical skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems preferred Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in a medical or ophthalmology practice setting Interest in co-management of surgical patients Spanish or other second-language proficiency is a plus What We Offer:
