About EKTERLY (sebetralstat)
EKTERLY (sebetralstat) is a novel plasma kallikrein inhibitor approved in the United States, European Union, United Kingdom and Switzerland for the treatment of acute attacks of hereditary angioedema (HAE) in people 12 years of age and older. EKTERLY is the first and only oral on-demand treatment for HAE, offering efficacious and safe treatment of attacks without the burden of injections. With ongoing studies exploring its use in children aged two to 11 and multiple regulatory applications under review in key global markets, EKTERLY has the potential to become the foundational therapy for HAE management worldwide. About The Role
Provide field-based reimbursement and patient access expertise and leadership to the Patient Access team ensuring patients can successfully start and stay on therapy. Collaborate with Executive Director, Patient Services to define, design and deliver best in class experience for patients and providers living up to the expectations of the HAE community. This role reports to the Executive Director, Patient Services. Responsibilities
Recruit, hire, onboard, train field-based Patient Access Team Design and implement strategic launch initiatives Develop and drive appropriate metrics to measure team performance Develop and lead field-based patient access model to support new patient starts and adherence Lead patient services execution by enabling patient/customer experience from onboarding to long-term adherence Collaborate cross functionally with key partners and vendors to ensure seamless patient and HCP experience Serve as primary point of contact for KalVista colleagues including Zone Directors, MSL team, National Accounts and Patient Services Hub leadership Drive change/resolution of coverage policy issues with field-based National Payer Account team Partner with National Payer Account team to provide pre-launch education to local and regional payers Aid in the development tools for the field to use to effectively communicate the patient experience platform to professional customers Develop and drive delivery of the Patient Services total value proposition to both patients and professional stakeholders in a compliant manner Manage the inception and evolution of the Patient Access team to meet the needs of the HAE community Qualifications
8+ years experience in the biopharmaceutical industry including Rare Disease Leadership, Sales, Access & Reimbursement, National Accounts, Patient Advocacy 4+ years Field Leadership required; Reimbursement and Patient Access leadership preferred Demonstrated ability to lead a team to achieve organizational goals Bachelor’s degree required Rare disease reimbursement experience in the US required Rare disease launch experience in the US preferred Experience working with 3rd party hub required Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively engage and influence across multiple organizations within and outside of KalVista Innovative mindset with the ability to take a creative approach to best meet the needs of both customers and KalVista Ability to develop field-based strategic and tactical plans related to the needs of KalVista and the HAE community Strong presentation skills and ability to present to diverse stakeholders Previous experience working in a pre-commercial biotech company is preferred KalVista Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer and welcomes applications from diverse candidates.
