Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (Neurosurgery) at University of Minnesota Physicians. This role involves neurosurgery care for adult inpatients at the University of Minnesota Medical Center-East Bank, working with academic neurosurgeons and Advanced Practice Providers. Responsibilities

Provide neurosurgery care for adult inpatients with a diverse range of neurosurgical disorders. Perform physical and psychological health assessments, patient education and counseling. Order and interpret diagnostic procedures and manage acute and chronic conditions. Participate in independent decision making about health care needs with supervision/collaboration of licensed physicians. Ensure continuity of care for patients in the communities served. Schedule

Hours up to 8:00 pm with rotating weekend coverage. Position Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with formal Nurse Practitioner training or a graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program. Current Minnesota RN license with eligibility for prescription writing or PA license with prescriptive authority in MN. Certification through ANCC/AANP or eligible for exam, or through NCCPA with credentialing/privileges required. Preferred Qualifications

Minimum of 1 year experience as a PA or NP preferred. New graduates with prior surgical or neurosurgical experience as an RN or other allied health professional will be considered. What We Offer
