Georgia Endoscopy Center:
**** is looking to add a PRN GI Tech/Scope Washer who is a team player to our Outpatient GI Center! As a GI Scope Washer at Georgia Endoscopy Center, you will have the opportunity to work alongside highly-trained physicians who specialize in diagnosing and treating a wide range of gastrointestinal conditions, including acid reflux, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), and liver disease. You will play a crucial role in delivering top-notch care by providing consultations and services in a clear and understandable manner, ensuring that our patients receive the best possible treatment.
We take pride in our friendly and supportive work environment, where continuity and trust are nurtured through stable and long-lasting relationships with our patients. While we work collaboratively as a group, each patient is assigned a dedicated gastroenterologist, ensuring personalized care and attention.
GI Tech/Scope Washer at Georgia Endoscopy Center
:
The Scope Washer is responsible for the preparation of equipment and supplies used for endoscopy scope reprocessing environment in accordance with the Standards of Practice and Policies and Procedures.
Job Responsibilities:
Prior to the start of the reprocessing process of scopes for the day:
The Scope technician well check equipment to assure appropriate working order
Assist Pre-op with patient flow
Keep accurate logs of scope reprocessing maintenance
Order reprocessing supplies and send out scopes for repairs
After the endoscopy procedure is completed the technician will:
Clean endoscope
Dispose of soiled linen and trash
Wipe all surfaces with antiseptic solution
Maintain cleaning log for endoscopes
Assist with restocking of supplies in endoscopy unit
Maintain a clean and safe environment
Provide flexible staffing hours to meet patient care needs
Assist in other areas as needed
QUALIFICATIONS:
High school graduate or equivalent
Current CPR certification
One year experience in an endoscopy environment preferred.
Experience as a sterile processing tech preferred
