Filion Capital is seeking a hands-on, results-driven
Operating Partner
to play a pivotal role in creating value within our investment portfolio. This individual will be responsible for working directly with portfolio company management teams to implement operational improvements, drive strategic initiatives, and accelerate growth. This is a critical role that bridges the gap between investment thesis and real-world execution, ensuring our companies achieve their full potential. Key Responsibilities
Act as the primary point of contact and strategic advisor for portfolio company leadership, providing hands-on support and guidance. Lead post-acquisition value creation plans, working with management to execute on key initiatives identified during due diligence. Drive operational excellence across portfolio companies by implementing best practices in areas such as strategic planning, sales force effectiveness, marketing ROI, supply chain management, and cost optimization. Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational dashboards to track progress against value creation goals. Assist in the recruitment of key executives to strengthen portfolio company management teams. Lead or oversee specific high-impact projects, such as new market entry, digital transformation, pricing strategy, or M&A integration. Collaborate closely with the investment team to assess the operational opportunities and risks of potential investments during the due diligence process. Serve as a formal or informal board member for assigned portfolio companies. Qualifications
10+ years of senior leadership experience as a CEO, COO, or functional head (e.g., Head of Sales, Chief Marketing Officer, Head of Operations) within a high-growth or mid-market company. A demonstrable track record of driving significant operational improvement, revenue growth, and profitability. Experience in one or more of Filion's core sector focus areas is highly preferred. Strong financial acumen with experience managing P&Ls, budgets, and forecasts. Exceptional problem-solving, project management, and change management skills. Outstanding interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to build trust and effectively advise seasoned management teams. A "hands-on" and pragmatic mindset; willing to roll up sleeves and execute, not just advise. Ability to thrive in a lean, entrepreneurial environment and manage multiple priorities. What We Offer
A unique opportunity to have a direct, measurable impact on the success of growing companies. A compensation structure that directly aligns with the value you create through carried interest. The autonomy to design and implement transformative strategies. A partnership-oriented role working alongside the investment team and portfolio company leaders. A platform to apply your operational expertise across a diverse range of businesses and challenges.
