As Supervisor, Outpatient Hematology/Oncology Unit, you will play a pivotal role in coordinating daily operations, supporting the team, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to our pediatric patients. Responsibilities
Provide leadership and direction to the team, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment. Manage daily operations of the outpatient unit, including scheduling, prioritization, and workflow management. Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Facilitate staff training, development, and performance evaluations. Act as a clinical resource, providing guidance and hands-on support to staff. Cross-train team members to ensure competency across all functions within the unit.
Key Skills For Success
Experience leading high-performing teams Strong clinical background (5+ years) in hematology/oncology, preferably pediatric Desire to maintain bedside skills and cross-train to all functions Good communication and collaboration skills
Position Details
Scheduled Monday – Friday, with the occasional Saturday shift to support clinic operations On-call rotation shared with the manager for after hours and weekend Located at the Rady Children’s Main Campus in San Diego, CA
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree
California RN License
3 Years of Experience
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers, issued by the American Heart Assocation
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Provider, issued by the American Heart Association
Preferred Qualifications
Master's Degree
5 Years of Experience
Bilingual in Spanish
The expected hiring range for this position is $64.37 to $88.51
