Toast . Toast is expanding from its POS platform for restaurateurs into new verticals such as convenience stores, grocery stores, and bottle shops. This role will be part of a founding team as Toast builds the Toast Retail platform and grows presence in this new offering. You will prospect, build relationships, and sign up new accounts using a consultative approach to develop customized solutions that help businesses thrive. Use a consultative approach to prospect, build relationships, and sign up new convenience stores, grocery stores, and bottle shops Generate lists of prospective customers and manage the entire sales cycle from initial contact to close Conduct product demos and develop solutions that meet the prospect’s needs Partner with teams across the business to ensure that delivery meets expectations set during the sales process Leverage Salesforce (CRM) to manage all sales activities Understand the competitive landscape and position Toast effectively in the market Qualifications
An entrepreneurial and feedback-driven mindset Strong communication, organizational, and presentation skills with the ability to sell and negotiate at all decision-making levels Proven track record of meeting and exceeding goals Ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial team environment Self-motivated, creative, flexible, and able to navigate ambiguity Lives in or near the market Willingness to travel 25% or more Nice to Have
Retail operations experience Compensation and Benefits
The total targeted cash compensation range for this role is $129,000—$206,000 USD and includes base salary, commissions, benefits, and equity (if eligible). Total Targeted Cash is uncapped and starting salary is determined by skills, experience, and geographic location.
