This role is ideal for someone with direct reinsurance accounting experience or a public accounting background with strong insurance client exposure. The position offers both technical and leadership responsibilities with visibility across the finance function.What you’ll do:* Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close for reinsurance activities* Review contracts and ensure accurate accounting treatment* Prepare and review reconciliations, reports, and financial schedules* Partner with internal stakeholders and external reinsurance market* Mentor junior team members and drive process improvements* Support audits and ensure compliance with internal controlsWhat we’re looking for:* Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred* 6+ years of accounting experience in insurance or reinsurance* Open to candidates from public accounting with insurance industry exposure* Strong knowledge of GAAP/statutory reporting* Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skillsCompensation & Benefits:Base salary targeted between $125,000 – $150,000 plus performance incentives.
