Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University is seeking a Senior Director of Philanthropy for the David B. O’Maley College of Business. This role will play a critical leadership role within the Office of Philanthropy & Alumni Engagement, championing innovation and supporting the next generation of leaders in aviation, business, and beyond. The Senior Director of Philanthropy will develop and execute major gift strategies that support the College’s growth, reputation, and future. This includes managing a portfolio of major gift prospects, traveling extensively to engage current and prospective donors, and developing personalized strategies to secure transformational gifts. Key responsibilities include: Managing a portfolio of major gift prospects through discovery, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship. Traveling extensively to engage current and prospective donors via in-person visits, events, and communications. Developing personalized strategies and long-term plans to secure transformational gifts supporting the College and the broader University. Working closely with the Dean of the College to align philanthropic strategies with the College’s goals and priorities. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, a minimum of six years of full-time fundraising experience in a complex environment, and demonstrated success in cultivating, soliciting, and closing major gifts of $100,000 or more from individual donors. Preferred qualifications include a Master’s degree, additional years of fundraising experience in higher education, a large non-profit, or a healthcare institution, and experience working within an academic or medical center environment.
